It is a very practical and reasonably priced laptop. More memory needs to be added, but the screen is fine.
The big plus is the Trackpoint that allows precise cursor navigation and undisturbed typing when You turn the touchpad off, even on buses and in other tight spaces. A must for people that do not want to carry a mouse around.

My wife had a Lenovo at work for many years and loves the little TrackPoint "joystick" in the middle of the keyboard. When she was laid off, I got her a Dell laptop and it was really flimsy. I finally donated it to a charity and bought her this one. She couldn't be happier. It just feel solid and well built. Personally, I love that it came with Window 8 upgradable to Windows 8. As the household computer administrator, I have no interest in learning a new operating system at this time.

This laptop combines great business-level features including the legendary IBM/Lenovo TrackPoint pointing stick (as well as a touch pad), great keyboard, and good speed.
