I bought this for a student and they literally hit the ground running with it. I own a G770 and I love it. Homework has never looked so good.

I would say, Yes, It worth the price. I used to have a R61 ThinkPad for several years and recently changed to T430. I am really satisfy with my purchase. For some days I tested an Ideapad model the specification of that notebook was higher. However, I think this one is much faster and reliable. At last, if you want to but a ThinkPad T430 I do recommend you to but it with Win7 professional. Thank you.

I bought this for my son, thinking that the ThinkPad was going to be a sturdy, fast and reliable computer for a middle school child. Last week, my son used 3 fingers to pull the laptop toward him and the whole screen cracked. I was watching him as it happened. He did not grab the computer harshly. In fact, he did not even touch the screen, he pulled from the cheap plastic frame around the screen. This plastic frame which has never been securely fastened to the screen either. We now have to send this back to the warranty service which will take weeks to resolve, if at all. In the meantime, we had to get another laptop for school. Lenovo sucks. Do NOT buy this unless you want to waste your money.
